Instructions for using the Raptors! game files in DCQuake. ========================================================== 1. Download the files; Maps, Gfx, Progs, Sound, Demos, Progs.dat and 0gdtex.pvr > the progs.dat and 0gdtex.pvr are optional, Raptors! will run without them just ignore any steps for their use. 2. Make sure you have PakExplorer (from: quakestuff.telefragged.com/) the easiest utility for updating .pak files. 3. If you haven't already, extract the dcquake files from the image file (if necc.) into a temp directory; i.e. ../dcqfiles > you should have the following files: Id1 (folder containing: Pak0.pak, Pak1.pak) Wince (folder) 0gdtex.pvr 1st_read.bin Midway.exe ip.bin > before inserting the Raptors! game files, make a back up of these files 4. Run PakExplorer, and open up the Pak0.pak. > you'll see the following files: gfx (folder) maps (folder) progs (folder) sound (folder) default.cfg end1.bin gfx.wad progs.dat quake.rc 5. Extract the files from rapmap.zip, and then drag and drop over the PakExplorer window and into the maps folder. > Click overwrite when asked if you want to. 6. Extract the files from rapgfx.zip, and then drag and drop over the PakExplorer window and into the gfx folder. > Click overwrite when asked if you want to. 7. Extract the files from rapprogs.zip, and then drag and drop over the PakExplorer window and into the mprogs folder. > Click overwrite when asked if you want to. 8. Extract the files from rapsound.zip, and then drag and drop over the PakExplorer window and into the sound folder. > Click overwrite when asked if you want to. 9. Extract the file from progsdat.zip, and then drag and drop over into the PakExplorer window. > Click overwrite when asked if you want to. 10. Extract the files from demos.zip, and then drag and drop over into the PakExplorer window. > Click overwrite when asked if you want to. (NB if you're not asked to overwrite it probably means you're not trying to put them into the right place) 11. Close PakExplorer, it saves automatically 12. Extract the file from 0gdtexpvr.zip into ..\dcqfiles (ur temp file) 13.
